ADIIF Forum is one of ADIIF's three complementary execution platforms, alongside ADIIF Venture — the Strategic Programmes, Partnerships & Venture Development Platform — and ADIIF R&D. It is designed to bring together governments, capital, technology companies, founders, infrastructure operators, academia and strategic institutions in structured settings for continental dialogue and institutional alignment.

ADIIF Forum gives practical expression to ADIIF's Continental Convening mandate by creating structured settings in which institutions responsible for financing, regulating, building, operating and governing Africa's digital infrastructure can engage across institutional boundaries.
Continental Convening is one mandate of a much broader permanent institution. ADIIF Forum provides the institution's convening capability; it does not define ADIIF as a whole.
Structured dialogue within a wider institutional pathway.
ADIIF Forum convenes institutions around defined strategic questions and priorities. Its role is institutional dialogue, alignment and engagement.
Where convening identifies work requiring research, technology evaluation or assurance, that work can progress through ADIIF R&D. Where it identifies priorities requiring strategic programme development, partnership structuring, capital mobilisation or implementation pathways, that work can progress through ADIIF Venture.
The three platforms are complementary functions of one institution: ADIIF Forum convenes; ADIIF Venture mobilises and executes; ADIIF R&D researches and assures.
Convening may take the form of continental summits, leadership dialogues, institutional roundtables and focused working sessions, according to the question, constituency and institutional purpose involved.
